On February 11, 2022, a total of 62 volunteer service teams from the Dengzhou Area of Nanyang, Henan, at the invitation of the secretary and under the leadership of the organizer, rushed to more than a dozen epidemic card points in the community to prevent and control the duty.
The morning of the New Year was still cold, and at about 7 o'clock, the volunteers were already cleaning up in front of the checkpoints and supermarkets, and they sorted out the cluttered vehicles and began to place the supplies needed for duty. The flashing red vests and the cleaners in sanitation clothes shine under the yellowed street lamps, and the city gradually comes to life with this group of people, accompanied by the rising sun. Returning students and workers need to register in the community: "Where you come from and where you are going, please take your temperature, show the nucleic acid test report, and register your personal information." Volunteers on duty in the community patiently inquired.
"Please wear a mask, scan the double yard into the supermarket, and keep a distance of one meter." Volunteers on duty at the supermarket, armed with small loudspeakers, kept repeating the same words. They are more considerate of the elderly, helping to scan codes, measure body temperature, help them register personal information without smart phones, and help them enter the elevator with inconvenient legs and feet, and at the same time achieve synchronous publicity of epidemic prevention knowledge.
The volunteers braved the cold, gave up the opportunity to reunite with their families during the holidays, gave up their small homes for everyone, and tirelessly repeated seemingly simple but actually arduous work every day. With normalized services, it guards the hard-won prevention and control results and cares for the life safety and physical health of the people. "It is better to be ten defenses and nine empty, not to lose prevention", volunteers go all out, under the leadership of party members and cadres, cooperate with the community to strengthen epidemic prevention and control, actively do a good job in daily epidemic prevention and elimination in the jurisdiction, and create a safe and secure place for community residents and people shopping in supermarkets.
While providing regular services, Dongwang volunteers also treat the garbage around the community to achieve accurate prevention and control, and do not give the virus a nourishing and living environment. They warm the New Year with practical actions, protect the people with service, and get unanimous praise from people from all walks of life!
