There are 18 teams participating in the competition, each team sending 4 runners, of which the first two use traditional techniques to glide, the last two use free techniques, and the fourth team that first reaches the finish line wins.

At the beginning of the competition, the norwegian team that won the championship had an accident, and the first player to set off, Terry Udernes Wenger, collided with the Latvian athlete, and the Norwegian team fell to eighth in an instant.

The Russian Olympic Committee and the German team were on a par at first, but after Veronica Stepanova's last relay, the Russian Olympic Committee's advantages continued to expand, and the game lost suspense.

The Chinese team sent a squad of Chi Chunxue, Li Xin, Bayani Garin and Ma Qinghua, who finished the race in 10th with a time of 57:49.7.

On the 13th, cross-country skiing will produce gold medals in the men's 4×10 km relay.
