Yuanmingyuan travel essay
Probably in 2015, I came here for the first time as a junior high school student. Although it has been five years, I still clearly remember the scene in front of me: it was raining lightly, and teachers and students came to a clearing next to the Dashui Fa with umbrellas. I looked around and there were big rocks scattered all over the rain-soaked dirt, but even though they were crooked and messy, I could still feel something different from their height and the carvings mixed with messy scars. The crimson past that had been experienced in this ruined wall could be regarded as an empty book.
Before that, I thought it would be a joyful event, but the moment I walked into the garden and stepped on the land, I was not sad, but I was also shocked. And this shock is mixed with a lot of complicated emotions. I can't say which kind of emotion it is, but I just feel that my heart is a little blocked, and the scene mentioned in the text comes to mind. At the same time, I remember the sonorous and powerful first sentence at the beginning of the text "The Destruction of the Yuanmingyuan" - the destruction of the Yuanmingyuan is an immeasurable loss in the cultural history of the motherland, and also an immeasurable loss in the history of world culture! That's when I really understood the "immeasurable loss."
Returning to this old place again after many years is more like a reunion of the old people, but there is no lack of strangeness.
When I stood in front of the Great Water Law again, the sight in front of me made me a little shocked. It completely subverts the image of a large stone scattered in the barren land without a few weeds; instead, it is a story that separates us from the long river of history, and the sad story gradually disappears into the vast sea of time. At this moment, the emerald green of the eyes seems to be slowly hiding the sadness deep into the bottom of the heart.
The rules-changing shrubs, the plank tour areas, and the lush grass all reflect the changes of the times, the rejuvenation of the country, and people's firm hearts full of vitality for future development. It is a mysterious force, and this unique force comes from the great national spirit of unity, peace-loving, industrious and courageous, and unremitting self-improvement of the Chinese nation with patriotism as the core.
In 2019, the ancient lotus seeds in the Yuanmingyuan "crossed the rebirth": the ancient lotus seeds that have been dormant for many years have a lower survival rate and are more difficult to cultivate than ordinary lotus seeds. After several stages, the fragrance finally bloomed in the Yuanmingyuan. Perhaps in the eyes of the visiting tourists is no different from the ordinary lotus, but it is of great significance to the Yuanmingyuan.
Now, it's more like the most frequented park on people's doorsteps, and it seems that the title brings the distance closer together than "royal gardens."
And I, who came here, may not have as much grief and indignation as I came here; gradually this mood quietly changed, more than just a sigh: pity. I found a secluded place and watched as the breeze blew through the calm lake, creating ripples. I can't help but wonder if the messy stones tell their stories to the grass around them; whether the desolate land will no longer be lonely because of the arrival of more and more tourists; whether the discovery of ancient lotus seeds will be doomed to bloom again...
It is a mysterious place, and even if you have had that experience, you will eventually return to calm again. But also because of our presence, this place is no longer mysterious.
I don't know why I wrote this, but these are true feelings from the bottom of my heart.
No longer resentful, no more sad, just walking in this garden, walking slowly, walking slowly...
Nowadays, it accepts friends from all over the world, which closes the distance between people and even closer to each other. Everywhere they go, they will also stay in the eyes, they will also regret, and they will also sigh.
But I think this scene is beautiful and what we are looking forward to. We must better pass on China's culture and let more people understand the real history and the real China.
