A 7.5mm bullet with a neck-shaped shell
The concept and design of the FK 7.5mm pistol cartridge was completed in 2011, and at least 15 different shells and more than 30 warheads were tried during the development process, and the cumulative number of bullets reached 250,000 rounds in four years before the finalization. The warhead mass of this bottleneck shell pistol bullet is 6.1~6.7g, the initial speed can reach 610m/s, and the muzzle kinetic energy reaches 1200J, which is 2 to 2.5 times that of ordinary 9×19mm Balabaerum pistol bullets. The bore pressure is as high as 350 MPa, which is similar to the .357 Magnum bullet. This high-velocity, small-caliber pistol cartridge is still particularly penetrating at long distances and can penetrate IIIA-class body armor.

Probably drawing on market feedback, FK BRNO released a new product with a polymer socket mount, named the PSD pistol. While inheriting the characteristics of its predecessor, the pistol adopts a replaceable barrel design, with three different calibers of 7.5mm, 9mm Baraberum and 10mm Auto, while selling for less than a quarter of the FK 7.5mm pistol. The pistol gives the security department and the average consumer the ability to fire more common and inexpensive bullets such as 9mm and 10mm while retaining the ability to fire 7.5mm high-power pistol cartridges.

Inheriting the FK 7.5mm pistol, the structural design is innovative
The FK PSD pistol adopts a barrel short recoil automatic method similar to the CZ75 pistol, the barrel offset locking structure, the hammer firing method, and the single-action firing.
The FK PSD pistol is 233mm long, 135mm high (without sight), 136mm long barrel and 1.1kg empty gun mass. The structural principle of the PSD pistol is the same as that of the FK 7.5mm pistol, but the socket material is changed to reinforced glass fiber polymer, which is 200g less than the FK 7.5mm made of all-steel, between the M1911 pistol and the Sig P226 pistol.
The size and positioning of the PSD pistol is similar to that of a regular military full-size pistol, but given the size of the pistol cartridge, the grip thickness of the gun is still large, similar to the grip thickness of the Glock 20 pistol (firing 10mm Auto pistol cartridges), and the 7.5× 27mm bullet is longer than the 10mm pistol bullet.

The gun follows the patented recoil/muzzle jump system on the FK 7.5mm pistol. In the reduced recoil/muzzle jump system, the recoil spring is located under the barrel and is located further down than conventional pistols, and there is a key large re-entry reed barrel at the front of the recoil spring, making the full gun centroid position more advanced than similar pistols. When shooting, this heavier re-entry reed barrel will follow the reciprocating movement of the sleeve, which can change the position of the center of mass of the whole gun and inhibit the muzzle beating. This unique recoil/muzzle-proof technique has been proven on the FK 7.5mm pistol.

The manual safety is located above the left rear of the socket seat, and the front end is pulled to the bottom to remove the insurance state, at which time the red dot on the socket is exposed to prompt the user; The front end is pulled to the top in a safe state, and the sleeve is locked and cannot be pulled back.

The FK precision crosshair is used with a butterfly-shaped illumination and a notched illumination, and the FK diamond crosshair is used with a ghost ring illumination. The butterfly-shaped shot allows the shooter to gain a wider viewing angle, allowing for accurate shooting at long distances. The larger hole in the ghost ring door facilitates quick aiming when shooting at close range, while the FK diamond crosshair guarantees the gun's accuracy at long distances.

In the accuracy test, the precision crosshair is used with a notched illumination door, and at a distance of 22.9 m (25 yards), three different 7.5 mm projectiles are fired, and the diameter of the dispersion circle is about 25.4 mm. When using the Triggicon SRO micro red dot sight, a 91.4 m (100 yards) distance is fired with a supported shot, firing a copper 7.5 mm air-tipped bullet with a warhead mass of 6.2 g, and a dispersion circle diameter of 102 mm. From the above tests, we can see that the accuracy of the FK PSD pistol is indeed very good.

Moreover, the muzzle jump when shooting is indeed smaller than expected, and the recoil is similar to that of the pistol that fires the .45 ACP pistol bullet, and there is no great impact. The non-slip texture design and ergonomic design of the socket seat are also comfortable and reasonable. The trigger stroke is short and there is a sense of feedback when the trigger is reset. Therefore, it can be said that the FK PSD is a relatively easy to control product in high-power pistols.
