In the early 1990s, Fuhua Textile settled near Fuma Road in Jin'an District, becoming the first Taiwanese enterprise in Fuxing Investment Zone. As the first generation of Taiwan businessmen in Rong, Chen Yiting's father, Chen Jiannan, started a business steadily. In 1997, Chen Yiting, who had just graduated from university, crossed the strait and used his business management expertise to bring new vitality to the development of the company. He began to learn from the most basic level, familiar with each process of weaving, printing and dyeing, and then gradually participated in the company's operation and management level.

The medium-sized, stout Chen Yiting, with thinning hair and a bright brain, impresses people. In the office of the general manager of Fuzhou Fuhua Textile Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd., Chen Yiting showed a little confidence in his smile. Over the past 24 years, from a newly graduated student to a senior executive of the company, Chen Yiting said that the land of Fuzhou has witnessed his growth, achieved his dreams, and given him a stage to show his ambitions.
Chen Yiting, born in 1971 in Taipei, China, originally from Quanzhou, Fujian Province, graduated from The Central University of Taiwan majoring in business management, is currently the general manager of Fuzhou Fuhua Textile Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd., the honorary president of Fuzhou Taiwan Compatriots Investment Enterprise Association, and the former member of the Fuzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the 11th and 12th president of Fuzhou Taiwan Compatriots Investment Enterprise Association. Rooted in Fuzhou for 24 years, while continuing his father's career, he has actively built a platform for exchanges between Taiwan compatriots, taken the initiative in taiwan youth entrepreneurship, employment and encouraging Taiwan talents to develop their careers in Rongrong, helping to promote Fuzhou to become the first home for Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan enterprises to land. Over the years, Chen Yiting has also become the torchbearer of the First National Youth Games, the first Taiwan resident residence permit recipient in Fujian Province, and the first batch of Taiwan compatriots to be awarded the Fuzhou Model Worker. In Chen Yiting's eyes, Fuzhou has long become his blessed land and second hometown.
Over the years, Chen Yiting has taken advantage of the status of executive vice president, president and honorary president of the Fuzhou Taiwan Association to promote rong-Taiwan exchanges, and he hopes to use his personal experience to drive more young people from Taiwan to start a business in Fuzhou, and now he is more enthusiastic about this. Chen Yiting also said in particular that the association will continue to support and encourage young people in Taiwan to make good use of the preferential policies given to Taiwan Youth by Fuzhou City to guide Taiwan Youth to grow up on the ground. In October 2015, the Fuzhou Municipal Association of Taiwan Affairs established the Taiwan Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Counseling Group to provide policy interpretation, entrepreneurial project recommendation, employment information consultation and other related services for Taiwanese youth who come to Rong for entrepreneurship and employment.
In addition to the "everyone" of the Taiwan Association, Chen Yiting also has a happy and warm "little family" in Fuzhou. In 2000, Chen Yiting and Zheng Ruying, a Ningde girl who came to work in Rong, achieved a cross-sea marriage and settled their home in Fuzhou. In the past 21 years of marriage, the two have a daughter and two sons, in order to support her husband's career, Zheng Ruying at home to do their duty to honor both parents and educate their three children. With her support, Fuzhou Fuhua Textile Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd., which chen Yiting runs, has been a large taxpayer in Jin'an District of Fuzhou City for three consecutive years, and because of his outstanding performance, Chen Yiting was honorably elected as the president of the Fuzhou Municipal Taiwan Association, which has also made positive contributions to promoting the integration and development of cross-strait economy... Step by step to win, all the way to innovation and all the way to the song
Fuzhou is the closest provincial capital to Taiwan on the mainland of the motherland and an important gathering place for Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan enterprises. More than 30 years ago, many Taiwan businessmen crossed the strait to Fuzhou to set up business and settle down. Nowadays, more and more second-generation Taiwan businessmen have inherited their father's business, and with unremitting efforts, they have gradually shaken off the aura of their fathers and emerged in economic and social development. They have also become practitioners and promoters of cross-strait integration and development.
Chen Yiting, the second generation of Taiwanese businessmen, adhered to the business strategy of his father's steady and steady fighting, and constantly innovated in company management, technology, products, energy conservation and consumption reduction, etc., and has been a major taxpayer in Jin'an District for many years. According to Chen Yiting's recollection, after he went to his father's company, he decided to study in various departments because he did not know anything about the textile printing and dyeing industry. "A department for a week, for 3 consecutive months, I humbly asked the old staff and supervisors for advice." Chen Yiting said. At that time, he found that the company was very "extensive" in management, because the customer order was not accurately calculated, but only a "pat on the head" type of rough calculation, often resulting in the production of goods more or less, or untimely delivery, bringing inconvenience to customers.
Chen Yiting feels that such production will either cause an increase in costs and a backlog of goods, or affect the supply due to the small amount of production, which will greatly reduce the credibility. So, he decided to "cut" from here and work with the heads of various departments to find a way. He hired software design engineers, and the company's computers increased from only 2 to more than 20, spread throughout every workshop, to carry out accurate calculations, saving the company a lot of production costs. "The same is true of raw material procurement, which is not transparent, and at that time it was up to the various procurement supervisors to decide." After many practices, Chen Yiting found that the raw materials of the same material, some merchants have lower prices and better quality. Therefore, he proposed "shop around", so that the cost of raw materials was saved by 30% that year. The precise calculation also allowed the company to win a battle against dumping investigations. Chen Yiting said that in the second half of 2004, the company was one of the three largest textile printing and dyeing companies in china to export to the EU at that time, and the EU felt that its lower prices disrupted the local market. However, in just one month, when EU officials came to investigate, they were impressed by the company's complete data ledger.
Chen Yiting said that after the head of the dyeing and finishing department resigned, he offered to his father to take up the position. "After taking office, I found that many employees are 'grinding foreign workers', and many things can be done well by one person, but there are two or three people doing it." The phenomenon of doing good and doing bad, doing more and doing less is very common. After investigation, Chen Yiting found that this is mainly because the reward and punishment mechanism has not been established and improved.
"I think the employees who work here want to make more money. Well, I give them a chance! Chen Yiting then held a departmental staff meeting, put forward the current situation of the department to discuss and analyze with everyone, and proposed to introduce a reward and punishment system, which was unanimously approved by the employees. This move has greatly mobilized the enthusiasm of employees, although the number of personnel has been reduced by one-third, but they are more capable, the treatment has also been improved, and the work has been completed better.
Such a phenomenon also exists to varying degrees in other sectors. Therefore, Chen Yiting took the initiative to ask for help, as the head of multiple departments such as dyeing and finishing department, weaving department, management department, etc., while continuously improving the company's equipment automation technology content, streamlining employees, from the previous 800 people, to the current less than 300 people, the company's annual turnover from the original tens of millions of yuan, developed to nearly 300 million yuan today. Under the influence of the pragmatic style of their parents, the younger generation of Taiwan businessmen led the enterprise to run forward with the spirit of daring to innovate and constantly making breakthroughs. Through measures such as information-based fine management, "slimming" plan, and improving the scientific and technological content of equipment, Fuhua Textile has continued to grow and won the titles of "Top Ten Cutting-edge Brands" in China's Textile and Garment Industry in 2010 and Fuzhou Top 30 Taxpayers. Chen Yiting also rose through the ranks, becoming the general manager of the company and the president of the Fuzhou Association of Taiwan Compatriots Investment Enterprises.
Time is like water, the sun and the moon are like shuttles. Rooted in Fuzhou for nearly 30 years, Chen Yiting has established a family here and grown with the company. The original enterprise station "flourished", the Shangyang Station on Metro Line 2, and the IKEA shopping mall under construction were "neighbors" to the factory, Chen Yiting said, which is a "treasure land". Today, the "most beautiful family" in the country, the president of the Fuzhou Municipal Taiwan Association, the 36th model worker of Fuzhou... In the face of one honor after another, Chen Yiting admitted that the burden on his shoulders was heavier.
New opportunities for cross-strait integration

Chen Yiting's father, Chen Jiannan, served two terms as president of the Fuzhou Municipal Taiwan Association. In 2016, the baton of the 11th president passed to Chen Yiting. Since Chen Yiting took office, he has actively served Taiwan-funded enterprises and Taiwan businessmen, led them in transformation and upgrading, and at the same time changed the association's function of only serving Taiwan-funded enterprises in the past, extending its coverage to all Taiwan compatriots who want to come to Fuzhou, including students and young entrepreneurs, to promote economic and trade exchanges between Rong and Taiwan and protect the rights and interests of Taiwan compatriots in Rong. At present, Fuzhou Taiwan Association has more than 400 members and nearly 200 individual members.
Chen Yiting said at the handover ceremony that the Fuzhou Municipal Taiwan Affairs Association will continue to assist Taiwan businessmen in the transformation and upgrading, enhance the profitability of enterprises and improve the momentum of development; it will set up a number of functional committees such as cross-strait exchanges, automation industry 4.0 promotion, and cultural and creative promotion to better communicate and cooperate with the government to create a win-win situation.
Chairman Chen Yiting's speech was gentle and steady and orderly. Talking about the business environment of Taiwan businessmen on the mainland, he has been doing business in Fuzhou for many years. The huge mainland market, the strong demand and purchasing power, and the good business environment make Chairman Chen always have full confidence in the development of the mainland. At the same time, the mainland has always adhered to the policy of encouraging the introduction of Taiwan investment, and has introduced a number of Huitai policies to help a large number of Taiwan businessmen gain a firm foothold on the mainland.
"In particular, the 31 Huitai measures that have just been introduced are very conducive to the development of Taiwan-funded enterprises on the mainland." Chairman Chen said, "In the past, many Taiwanese talents with professional qualifications and professional licenses were often unable to find employment in the mainland, such as doctors, designers, engineers, etc. For them, it is much easier to come to the mainland to develop, and they can get the mainland work qualification with just some simple procedures. This is something we are happy to see. ”
It has been learned that Fuzhou has been superimposed with a number of favorable central policies and has attracted the attention of Taiwan businessmen. Since its establishment in April 2015, the Fujian Free Trade Zone (Fuzhou) area alone has added more than 1,000 Taiwan-funded enterprises by the end of October, with a contract amount of more than US$3 billion.
"During the '14th Five-Year Plan' period, the mainland will enter a stage of high-quality development, which contains great opportunities for cross-strait exchanges and cooperation and cross-strait integration and development, and I will continue to play a good role as a 'guide' and promote more young people and talents in Taiwan to chase dreams, build dreams, and realize dreams." Chen Yiting said that the road to integration is getting wider and wider, and the hearts of compatriots are getting closer and closer. The Fifth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly proposed to support Taiwan businessmen and Taiwan enterprises to participate in the construction of the "Belt and Road" and the national regional coordinated development strategy, and to support Fujian in exploring a new road for cross-strait integration and development. This makes Chen Yiting more optimistic about the opportunities and potential for the sustainable development of the mainland's economy.
