Kishiwada City's special float festival began in the 16th year of Genroku (1703 AD) as a Rice Festival held by Kishiwada Castle to celebrate the abundance of grain. At that time, on the day of the festival, the city gates were opened, and people outside the city dragged floats into the city to perform various performances in front of the city lord. On the roof of the float, dancers with beautiful rhythms, stretch out their arms, sometimes posing in the independent posture of the golden rooster, and sometimes using their flexible bodies to make the shape of an airplane.
