In the double bobsleigh event that ended on the evening of February 9, Peng Junyue and his partner Huang Yebo successfully completed the race with a time of 2:01.572, setting a new record – they were the first Pair of Chinese Double Bobsleigh Pairs to appear at the Winter Olympics. After the race, Peng Junyue said: "This race is currently the fastest we have ever glided on this track, and I enjoyed the process. This is also the first time that Guangdong athletes have stepped onto the Winter Olympic bobsleigh field, bringing "zero breakthrough" to Guangdong ice and snow sports.
