Rhode Island Colossus, the site of the easternmost port of Rhodes, Greece

Built in 282 BC, the Colossus of rhodes is located in the port of Rhodes, the easternmost city in Greece, but its location has never been determined, making it the most mysterious of the Seven Wonders.

The Rhode Island Colossus is a bronze cast of helios, the sun god in ancient Greek mythology, and it took 12 years to build this colossus, the bronze surface is wrapped in marble, and the colossus is 33 meters high. The Colossus stands with his feet apart at the entrance of the harbor, carrying an arrow, holding a bow in his left hand and a torch in his right hand, playing a navigational role without extinguishing. Since the statue is 33 meters high, the construction of such a large statue cannot use the technique of a general statue, so the statue is divided into several parts, and then combined and erected at the entrance of the port.

The reason why the Rhode Island Sun God Colossus is mysterious is because after 56 years of construction, due to the earthquake, the colossus collapsed, lying on the ground for nearly a thousand years, the mystery disappeared, and even if it was impossible to find its trace, even if the Sun God Colossus collapsed in place, it was a spectacle.
