The new look of the river bank has become a good place for the masses to relax and entertain, at the same time, it has also brought huge flood control, ecological, economic and other benefits to Xinyi City, initially achieved the goal of "river smooth, clear water, embankment, green shore, beautiful scenery", and enhanced the sense of gain, happiness and security of the public.
▎Solidly promote small and medium-sized river governance projects
In order to maintain the original ecology to the greatest extent, Xinyi City implements the treatment of small and medium-sized rivers with the "one river, one policy" plan, mainly adopting measures such as river dredging, shore slope improvement, and ecological brick ecological slope protection to expand the flood section and improve the overall flood control capacity of the river. At the same time, in combination with the improvement of the living environment and the construction of beautiful villages, on the basis of fully considering the flood prevention and flood discharge capacity, a number of leisure and cultural and sports facilities such as revetment greenways, landscape corridors, and party building squares have been built along the river, which not only adds color to the beautification of the river, but also provides a good place for leisure and entertainment for the masses, and the masses are full of praise for this.
For example, before the Guizi River was treated, the river channel was seriously silted, the flooding capacity was poor, and the river bank was overgrown with weeds and deserted. Xinyi City cleverly borrows the east wind of the construction of Wanli Bidao to organically integrate river environmental governance in the planning and construction process, and consider the construction of Bidao and river governance as a whole and promote it simultaneously. At the beginning of 2020, the first phase of "Jin Jiang Gallery" Bidao was completed and put into operation.
The "Jinjiang Gallery" takes the Jinjiang River and Xijiang River in the upper reaches of the Jianjiang River as the main line, takes "water safety, water ecology, and water beauty" as the background color, coordinates various ecological elements such as mountains, forest fields, lakes and grasses along the line, and creates an "ecological corridor" of "clear water green banks, shallow bottoms of fish, abundant water and grass, and flocks of egrets", which effectively promotes the comprehensive management of river reservoirs along the line. With the completion and operation of the Bi Road, the scenes of the muddy river and the barren banks of the river in the past have disappeared, and what is displayed in front of people is a new style of babbling and clear water, lush flowers and leaves on both sides of the river, and picturesque scenery.
In addition, the second phase of "Xijiang Gallery" Bidao and the third phase of "Shanshui Gallery" Bidao have completed the construction of the road surface and the total greening mileage of 44 kilometers.
