In August 2020, a property service company signed a contract for the integrated sanitation cleaning and village garbage removal service in Tanggou Town, Guannan County, and was responsible for garbage removal and transportation within Tanggou Town. Zhao and 42 other people were hired by the company as cleaning staff to clean up and transfer garbage.
At the beginning of September 2021, in the past year, in addition to paying part of the wages, the property company owed more than 280,000 yuan in labor remuneration to 42 cleaning personnel. In December of that year, with the help of the Tanggou Town Judicial Office, the cleaners came to the Guannan County Legal Aid Center to apply for legal aid. After the legal aid center learned more about the situation, it immediately assigned a lawyer with rich experience in handling labor dispute cases, and the United County Labor Arbitration Commission jointly mediated, successfully resolved the contradiction and dispute, and prompted the property company to cash in all the 280,000 yuan of labor remuneration owed.
According to reports, the Guannan County Bureau of Justice has strengthened close cooperation with the public security, procuratorate, law, labor inspection and other departments, smoothed the connection mechanism, and effectively safeguarded the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers. At the same time, a green channel for the protection of rights for migrant workers was set up in the county public legal service hall and 22 legal aid workstations, and 23 lawyers were arranged to be stationed on duty, further simplifying the approval process, and realizing on-site reception, on-site acceptance, and on-site assignment. According to reports, since the relevant actions were launched, more than 120 enterprise employment contracts have been reviewed, and 42 cases of migrant workers' rights protection have been successfully resolved.
