Previously, Sikan Technology has been associated with the Winter Olympics. Under the organization of the State General Administration of Sports, the 3D Printing and Intelligent Manufacturing Research Center of Dongguan Institute of Technology (Associate Professor Li Nan's team) joined hands with Sikan Technology to integrate 3D scanning-design-3D printing technology and participate in the national snow team athlete helmet equipment customization research project.
F1 on ice, technological acceleration
The bobsleigh event originated in Switzerland and was included in the competition at the first Winter Olympics. It was developed from sledding, where athletes drive snowmobiles that can steer directions and race on curved U-shaped ice tracks.
Within 60 seconds of the start signal, the athlete can push the snowmobile to start to obtain the initial speed, pushing a distance of about 50 meters.
After that, they jumped into the car body one by one, and the four-person car was in the order of the helmsman, the middle team member, and the brakeman;
The tandem jumps into the car in the order of helmsman and brakeman, and quickly retracts the handlebars and slides in a sitting position.

3D scanning, printing exclusive helmets
Previously, the helmet equipment of the national snow team was mainly imported from abroad, getting rid of the dependence on equipment imports, and using helmets independently developed and designed in China to participate in the competition, which was expected by everyone.

For racing athletes, a 0.01 second increase in speed is quite valuable. Therefore, in addition to the basic protective role, the design of the helmet also needs to comprehensively consider the problem of resistance reduction.
One of the keys to the design is whether it can accurately obtain the three-dimensional data of the entire head of each athlete, and Siguan Technology is fortunate to provide key three-dimensional scanning technology support for this.
Due to the rich contour characteristics of the human head, it is suitable for the use of non-contact non-stick point stitching technology, and the iReal 2E three-dimensional scanner was selected to complete the acquisition of three-dimensional data of the athlete's head.
iReal 3D scanner has high accuracy (up to 0.1mm), can accurately obtain the 3D data of the athlete's head, and the helmet fit is good;
In the exclusive mode of portrait scanning, the shaking and stacking of the human body can be automatically removed; there is no need to paste points when scanning, the light source is safe and invisible, and the whole scanning process is comfortable and safe;
In addition, its combined array structured light technology creatively solves the problem of difficult access to hair and eye data, making head data more complete.
3D data acquisition site
After using the iReal 2E 3D scanner to obtain accurate 3D data of the athlete's head, the design team can personalize the design according to the athlete's head shape, combined with tactical characteristics, and then use 3D printing technology to produce the final helmet product.
Using China Aerospace T800 carbon fiber and pure carbon fiber materials, the final helmet weight is 500g lighter than the previous generation of racing helmets, only about 1100g, effectively reducing the weight for athletes.
At the same time, the cushioning layer of the helmet adopts dot matrix structure design, and the topol honeycomb structure protection system made of 3D printing selective laser sintering process (SLS) creatively solves the problem of deformation of head details, completes the perfect adaptation of the athlete's head shape, and can bring high heat circulation efficiency.

The Winter Olympic Snowmobile Event will be held at the National Bobsleigh Center in the northwest of Yanqing, Beijing, which is divided into four sub-events: four-person snowmobile, men's double snowmobile, women's double snowmobile and women's single snowmobile. Each competition is played in 4 rounds, and the result is calculated based on the cumulative time of the 4 rounds, and the shortest time wins.
