Yesterday, at the daily regular press conference of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, Mary Sarois, Director of Branding and Sustainability of the International Olympic Committee, praised the "double Olympic venues" in Beijing, believing that this mode of venue utilization brings together the advantages of previous Olympic Games in terms of sustainability.

The post-game utilization of large-scale sports venues has always been a worldwide problem, but the Beijing Winter Olympics used a number of 2008 Olympic venues, such as the National Stadium, the National Gymnasium, the National Aquatics Center, the Wukesong Sports Center, the Capital Gymnasium and other Summer Olympic venues, and in the new venues, the post-game utilization needs were fully considered from the beginning of the design.

"All Winter Olympic venues have a variety of uses, they can run competitions, training, cultural activities, and some can also be used in winter and summer. The venue's functions are aimed at different groups of people and cover a variety of activities, and I believe that they will be able to use it for a long time."
