February coincides with the Chinese New Year festival on the mainland. During the festival, people return to their hometowns for the New Year, visit relatives and friends, and the mobility between the population increases and the contact is frequent, which is easy to cause the spread of respiratory infectious diseases such as influenza and new crown pneumonia.

Anhui CDC warmly reminds residents that while enjoying a happy and peaceful festival, pay attention to preventing new crown pneumonia, influenza and non-occupational carbon monoxide poisoning incidents:

1. New crown pneumonia

February hygiene and disease prevention tips

Recently, many provinces and cities in China have successively reported local sporadic cases and clusters of new crown pneumonia, and the spread of the epidemic between provinces due to the movement of people has occurred in some areas, and our province is still facing the risk of importing the new crown pneumonia epidemic. The majority of residents and friends should continue to adhere to the concept of strengthening the first responsible person for their own health, and effectively do a good job in personal health monitoring and protection.

1. Pay attention to the dynamics of the epidemic

Before returning, please understand the local epidemic prevention policy, prepare a negative nucleic acid test certificate in advance as needed, and take personal protection on the way. After arriving at the destination, take the initiative to report to the community as soon as possible, and cooperate with the local implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures.

2. Strengthen personal protection

In daily life, good personal and environmental hygiene should be maintained, masks should be worn scientifically, hand washing frequently, ventilation should be frequent, gathering less, and public chopsticks should be used.

3. Do a good job of self-health monitoring

Pay attention to your own health status, such as fever, dry cough, fatigue and other symptoms, go to the nearest fever clinic in time, wear a mask on the way to the doctor, and take the initiative to inform the travel history or suspicious exposure history.

4. Actively vaccinate against covid-19

Vaccination against COVID-19 is an effective way to prevent COVID-19 infection. Eligible residents are requested to receive the covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible, and after completing the full vaccination for half a year, they will receive the booster injection as soon as possible.

2. Influenza

February hygiene and disease prevention tips

Influenza is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by influenza virus, mainly transmitted by droplets, and the clinical typical manifestations are sudden chills, high fever, headache, myalgia, fatigue and other systemic poisoning symptoms. February is the season of high incidence of influenza in our province, please take the necessary precautions for the majority of residents:

1. Develop good personal hygiene and living habits

In daily life, you should wear masks and wash your hands frequently; maintain good respiratory etiquette, cough and sneeze with tissues or elbows to cover your mouth and nose; and increase or decrease clothes in time according to the temperature situation to prevent colds.

2. Keep the living and workplace environment clean and tidy, and often open windows for ventilation

Not less than 2 times a day for not less than 30 minutes each time.

3. Schools and childcare institutions are the main places where influenza clusters occur

After the opening of various schools in February, parents should pay close attention to their children's health status, and once they have suspected symptoms such as fever and cough, seek medical treatment in time and report to the teacher; do not let their children go to school before they recover. Schools should strictly implement the morning and afternoon inspection system, do a good job in daily ventilation, cleaning, disinfection, and report to the local disease control department in a timely manner if there is an increase in influenza patients or a cluster of epidemics.

3. Non-occupational carbon monoxide poisoning incidents

February hygiene and disease prevention tips

Non-occupational carbon monoxide poisoning generally refers to carbon monoxide poisoning incidents that occur in the daily life of the public, and the causes of the incidents are mostly charcoal fire heating or improper use of gas stoves and gas water heaters. February temperatures are still low and prone to such incidents, reminding residents to take the necessary precautions:

1. Correct use of gas cookers

Before using the gas stove ignition, check whether there is air leakage, and when the stove is continuously ignited, the window should be opened for ventilation, and then ignited later. In use, people should not stay away, and strictly prevent spilling the pot to extinguish the stove fire. After use, before going to bed, when going out, check whether the stove switch and pipe valve are closed.

2. Do a good job of self-safety precautions

Do not eat charcoal hot pot and light charcoal braziers in confined spaces; do not sleep in cars with closed doors and windows and open air conditioners; when using gas water heaters in the bathroom to bathe, the doors and windows should not be closed, and the bathing time should not be too long.

3. Scientific response to gas leakage

Find the odor, immediately open the window for ventilation, and timely dial the gas company to report repair, strictly prohibit all kinds of fire into the room, not to mention the switch electrical appliances, in order to prevent gas explosion.
