For most of us English learners who have been in a non-English language environment for a long time, one of the basic questions to understand is: What exactly do you want to train and gain from english learning in a non-English language environment?
1) The average person aims to "learn a sentence of English" with "I finally understand what it means in Chinese".
If you have to insist on doing this, you may not have to. It's just that basically your English learning is just a waste of your time and energy.
2) We use a sentence of English that basically has little opportunity to use to train ourselves to learn in English, understand in English, and memorize in English, so that we have the opportunity to use the known English we have learned, so as to overcome the negative impact of not having the opportunity to speak English in a non-English language environment.
