Uncle Zhang, who is in his early 60s, is one of the main knitting forces. He told reporters that when he was a child, his family was in the countryside, and his yard was full of bamboo, and he learned bamboo weaving from his father since he was a child.

When I was young, I did farm work during the day, and when I had time, I would make some bamboo weaving supplies for my own use or for my relatives and friends, all of which were my own styles and patterns. Compared with the rattan weaving in the ancient town, whether it is from the number of households, output value, fame or the support policies of the local government, bamboo weaving is still in a very primary stage of development, relying only on the handmade by craftsmen, and in terms of use, it is mainly to meet the household consumption of nearby residents.

Uncle Zhang introduced. Because of environmental protection and durability, consumption is slow, and the store does not need to pay rent, the income of Uncle Zhang and the two workers can only maintain a normal standard of living. In addition, because Uncle Zhang and the two workers are relatively old, they are not very good at smart phones and computers, and it is difficult to rely on e-commerce platforms to expand sales.

He said that bamboo weaving is a rare traditional craft, now young people are willing to go out to break into society, the income is higher, this kind of work that requires patience and low income is naturally left to the elderly, therefore, he also wants to try to make his craft play a residual heat, so that more families can use economical and practical and beautiful bamboo weaving supplies.

What makes Uncle Zhang feel relieved is that his bamboo weaving shop has been open for more than ten years, and he can always operate smoothly, and he can feel that there are still many families who like to use bamboo weaving products, especially in these years, many tourists will buy one or two pieces, which makes him feel that bamboo weaving has a new vitality.
