Palmer's bag appearing on the Ryder Cup first day service table

In the first round of this year's Ryder Cup, the bag arnold Palmer used at the 1975 Ryder Cup was placed on The Blacksertin's No. 1 tee. The U.S. team was well ahead of the European team on the first day of the game, and this was the first time since Palmer's Ryder Cup in 1975 that the U.S. team led the first day of the game.

In 1975, Palmer led the team to a 21-11 victory over the then Great Britain & Ireland team in Laurel Valley, Pennsylvania. 41 years later, Davis Ralph III led the United States to establish a 4-0 lead first and eventually beat Europe 17:11.

That's not the only similarity between the two teams. Every U.S. player won at least once in Hersertin. When was the last time this happened? In 1975.

The fact that this year's Ryder Cup game inspired us to collect a lot of data. The following are all worth savoring.

Despite the European team's defeat, Belgian player Thomas Pieters became the greatest new player in the history of the UEFA Ryder Cup and the only New Team in Europe/Great britain & Ireland to score four points in a Ryder Cup match.
