At that time, it was not yet certain that a formal serial would be launched, but Yoshizaki Sensei had already completed the settings of the Klong Army such as GIRORO Captain, TAMAMA Second Class Soldier, GURURU Cao Commander, and the setting (prototype) of the Earthman. Mr. Yoshizaki remembers that at that time, in the Royal Host restaurant opposite the old GAINAX, he picked up a napkin and drew all kinds of ideas on the back, including "Cosmic Frog!" ”。

Mr. Yoshizaki's life is often linked to "cobia", mainly from his grandmother, which is one of the reasons why "cobia" is used in the title. In the past, when Yoshizaki was asked by her grandmother what manga she was drawing now, if she directly told her old man about the title of the work, she might not be able to understand, so she used to add "cobia", and when she asked, she replied that it was a manga like a "frog-like cobia", so that her old man could understand it immediately, and Yoshizaki sensed that he had done a beautiful job at that time. Now that Mr. Yoshizaki's grandmother has passed away, there is no reason to be particularly attached to "cobia", and if there are new works in the future, Yoshizaki senses that even if the word "cobia" is gone, it does not matter.
On the reason why KERO's design changed from the short story to the beginning of the series to the present. Yoshizaki said that the early days were mainly influenced by the works he saw when he was a child, the early Doraemon painting fat, the early little ghost Q Taro eyes are relatively open, so the early stage of KERO is also fat, and the hair of the early Winter Tree Jun is also a bit disheveled. There will be such a change now, mainly because of the relationship between animation, Yoshizaki sensei hopes to be more or less in line with the anime version of KERO, gradually the eyes have become smaller, the figure is also much more slender, so that after the end of the animation, everyone will not feel uncomfortable when watching the manga, and Yoshizaki sensei himself draws more and more smoothly.

Mr. Yoshizaki still remembers the scene at the time of the test screening of the TV anime "Keroro Cobia".
