In the first half of last year, when sorting out the materials on the War of Resistance Against Japan, I often saw the atrocities committed by the Japanese invading forces, but it was very painful to sort out these things, and sometimes even shed tears. It is said that the war makes women go away, but the most unfortunate person in this evil war is our compatriots, Chinese women.
Xiawanzi Village, Xinbin County, Jilin Province, is a large village in Qimu District of the county, with more than 1,000 households and more than 6,000 people. As the village continued to be swept up by Japanese and puppet police, by 1939 it had become an uninhabited village. On January 14, 1937, the Xiawanzi Police Force swept through Taibaogou and Beiyinggou. They captured two women and two children to lead the way. When they reached Taibaogou, they killed more than 20 people there, including four who led the way. The crazy Japanese invaders also cut off the heads of their victims and took them to the lower bay to hang on a willow tree.
In February 1937, the Japanese invaders brought more than 20 people back to Luoda Jiujiagou and killed them. Even more shamelessly, in the summer of the same year, Japanese puppet police went to Daluotun to burn down the house. They drove all the women of Grotun together, forced them to take off their clothes, and threw them into a house on fire and burned them. Then they let the go one by one...
The devastation left by the Japanese invasion of China has gradually faded into oblivion in the minds of many people, but the ambitions of the aggressors have never changed, the specter of militarism is still there, and Chinese cannot sit back and relax, nor can we relax our vigilance, still less can we forget that tragic history.
