19. Tomb of the Shen Fu Family of Double Filial Piety

There are 4 places that have been discovered and determined, namely the tomb of Shen Duyuan and his wife who were buried in Song Yangzhou, the tomb of Shen Fu family, the tomb of Shen Zhuo, and the tomb of Shen Zicheng family.

Tomb of Shen Duyuan and his wife

It is located in Shenjiazhai, Gaoqiao Town, Pudong New Area, and 5 villages of the former Haibin Township. Clearance was found when the land was leveled in October 1958. The tomb is in the cotton field, loess mound, north-south direction, the tomb road stands 2 stone horses, 2 Huabiao, 2 stone stele, etc. (plate 11:1), the stele is engraved "The first Song Yangzhou Shoudu Yuanshen Cemetery", next to the plant Luohan pine 2 plants, because called "Double Pine Tomb", commonly known as "Luohan Tomb". Excavate the mounds to reveal 2 pagoda-shaped tombs (Plate 11:2). The two tombs are basically the same, consisting of two parts: the tomb chamber and the tower-shaped tomb roof. The tomb roof is 48 cm high, hexagonal, large and small underneath, with adobe masonry on the wall, filled with mud and broken bricks, and covered with a round green brick on the top. Round bricks have a diameter of 16 cm and a diameter of 13 cm. A rectangular bluestone slab in the lower part of the tomb roof is covered over the burial chamber. One slab is 1 meter long and 0.58 meters wide, and one is 0.87 meters long and 0.55 meters wide. The stone slab was removed to reveal a decaying wooden box containing ashes, which were mixed with many Song Dynasty coins, and some rust. The tomb was relocated to this place during the Ming Dynasty.

Tomb of the Shen Fu family

In May 1974 and January 1976, the Archaeology Department of the Shanghai Municipal Commission for Cultural Relics carried out archaeological cleanups of the tombs of Shen Fu's father and son brothers twice. The cemetery is located in the new third and fourth teams of Gaoqiao Town, Pudong, east of the present-day East Ring Avenue and west of Ougao Road. Under a mound of earth with a height of 1 to 2 meters, an east-west length of 80 meters, and a width of 50 meters from north to south, 7 tombs were found, 6 were cleaned up, and 1 was destroyed by bulldozers. 7 Tombs are not far away, see tomb distribution map (Figure 22).

M1 east-west direction, poured brick chamber top tomb for glutinous rice pulp triad soil, single chamber, 2.5 meters long and 1.2 meters wide. The four walls of the burial chamber are brick and the surface is coated with lime. The height from the top of the ticket to the bottom of the burial chamber is 0.95 meters. Two-story bricks are flattened on the top of the ticket. The right wall of the cave is a niche, rectangular, 40 cm high, 24 cm wide and 15 cm deep. Wooden coffins and bones are all decayed. In the center of the burial chamber, more than 20 blue and white porcelain jars and broken pewter are placed, and 1 clay pot is placed in each of the four corners.

(1) The epitaph of Shen Fu in the second year of Zhengde

M2 unearthed. Square with a side length of 66 cm. In the main book, some of the text is not clearly eroded (Ezra 23:1).

(2) The epitaph of Shen Liang in the fourth year of Zhengde

1 he, M6 unearthed. Square with sides 67.5 cm. Cover the seal book "Epitaph of the Shen Priest of Jiangdong". At the bottom of the book, the text is long and unclear.

(3) The epitaph of Shen Youmei in the third year of Zhengde

(4) Zhengde Ten Years Shen Jie Epitaph

It is not clear which tomb it came from. Square with sides 62 cm. The main book (Ezra 23:3).
