Huicao was born in the north of the mountain, and he was lost.

Rooted in the side of the cliff, the night is afraid of danger.

The cold spring soaks my roots, and the miserable wind often lingers.

Three lights illuminate eight poles, alone without afterglow.

The leaves are forever carved, and the condensation is not timely.

All are proud, and they have lost their time.

More than my yingfang hair, the bird's song has declined.

In ancient Yonglan poems, most of them praised the noble character of orchids, but this Yonglan poem is different from ordinary Yonglan poems, it tells the misfortune that orchids have suffered because they are not in the ground.

The whole poem can be divided into two parts. From "Hui Cao Sheng Shan North" to "Du Bu Yu Hui" is the first part. Write about the environment in which the orchid grows. "The grass grows in the north of the mountain, and the body is lost" is the general writing, the orchid grows on the north side of the mountain, and it is not born in its own place. The next six sentences of "rootedness" are specific descriptions of this harsh environment.

In this harsh environment, how to live young life. The second half of the poem focuses on how the grass fights tenaciously in a treacherous environment. But no matter how harsh the environment is, the grass has not lost its own fragrance, although a hundred flowers have bloomed, the grass has also emitted a moving fragrance in the last one, even if this fragrance is late, it shows a spirit, a tenacious, indomitable spirit. But the grass has just emitted fragrance, but it has reached the season of a hundred flowers and flowers, for the flowers and plants, the blossoming and spitting incense is the most brilliant period of their lives, and then the glory of the grass is so short- At this point, the poem is eclipsed and reveals an unspoken and hurtful mood, and the poet has a deep sympathy and regret for this.

The poet was in the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, when various forces were divided, social turmoil, and the people did not have a good life. The poem also reflects the extremely bitter and unwilling mood of some lower-level scribes, and the cold and miserable environment in the poem is a side portrayal of the darkness of eastern Han society.

The whole poem adopts the technique of "Bixing", the attitude of "resentment but not anger", and uses the first-person tone of the narrative body, and the combination of chants and indignations in the language of images is seamless, and the feelings expressed are sometimes mournful and moving, vivid images.
