Who is the All-Star Reserve you chose for something?

Top team Chicago has two All-Star teams in De Madrozan and Lavien. One for each of the next nine teams. Then there's Sabonis, whose 19-12-5 stats are too strong to ignore.

In this era of so-called "basketball with few places," the NBA needs to give up the titles of "guard" and "frontcourt" — and they do the same when announcing starters. Having to put Donczek ahead because every guard on my roster should go, Golden State isn't worth three All-Stars this season, Draymond missed a lot of games and Andrew Wiggins' "stuff" distorted their representation.

Jarrett Allen, Jimmy Butler, Darris Garland, James Harden, Juru Holliday, Zach Lavin, Kyle Lowry, Chris Middleton

Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Lamello Bauer and Fred Van Flair will all feel left out. But the Celtics still perform poorly despite the health of Tatum, Brown or both. The Hornets and Raptors probably wouldn't even smell the playoffs, if it wasn't for the ball and Van Flay. But the players who are selected have had a bigger impact in ensuring their teams are in the best position in the Eastern Conference. Butler and Laurie have overcome their own injuries, and while Miami absorbs other illnesses, they can still survive. Allen and Garland (along with Evan Mobley) have pushed Cleveland into the race. Ravi has remained stable while still leaving room for Dema deRozan, Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso.

I think Green is more valuable than his teammate Andrew Wiggins because he's been a major contributor to the Warriors' defensive excellence. Chris Paul continues to defy his father's time and leave his leadership mark, while Dwon Booker has become one of the league's top scorers.

Lavin is worth considering. Harden, despite his inefficient year, remained one of the best offensive players in the game. Butler was brilliant before and after the injury. Allen has become a scoring threat. Middleton's performance is similar to that of last summer in the Finals. Van Flair has become a capable replacement for Kyle Lowry in Toronto. Tatham has been up and down but still a good scorer (the big omission in this position is Darius Garland).

Paul, like LeBron James, challenges age with a high level of performance. Donczek is the only reason Dallas is worthy of respect. Green is enjoying a solid year of defense while running the Warriors' offense from a high position.

The East is much more difficult than the West. Garland, Harden, Lavin and Tatum. That's Alan Butler and Van Flair. Allen has the team's success, defense and efficiency. Butler has only played 32 games, but he's one of them. The six-man, who averaged 20, 6 and 6 per game, was efficient and a high level of defense.

Booker, Donsick, Gobert, Paul all had team success and numbers, and they all played more than 40 games. Green has only played 34 games, but his wins (28) are still more than some of these guys, and he was seriously considered when the starters were selected. The last ones are Donovan Mitchell and Mikael Bridges, whose defensive impact is as commendable as Green's. The choice here is Mitchell, who ranks seventh in usage considering the gap leading the league's number one offense.
