The Dutch Meteorological Agency KNMI announced at nearly 6 o'clock this morning that the code for the north Dutch, Friesland and Wadden Sea regions is orange, and the code for the rest of the Netherlands is yellow. Traffic and outdoor activities may be affected by Corrie storms.

The Water Authority Rijkswaterstaat recommends paying special attention to traffic, especially drivers of trucks and vehicles with trailers.

Strong gusts of wind appeared in the western and northwestern parts of the Netherlands, which spread across the Netherlands in the morning.

The storm's peak arrives between 8 a.m. and 12 noon, and at least a minute can measure the winds of magnitude 9, along with rain.

The storm affected parts of Europe, except for the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

Today's Corrie, the damage caused across the Netherlands, including damage to buildings, uprooting of trees, obstruction of land, sea and air traffic, and backfilling of seawater had to close some sluice gates.

Fortunately, the storm did not last long, and around 1 p.m., the orange code announced by the Weather Bureau had been canceled.
