On the day of Chinese New Year's Eve, Yanqing Winter Olympic Village used the characteristic Chinese New Year flavor arrangement and rich Chinese and Western catering and cuisine, so that the athletes and team officials from all over the world who entered the village fully felt and experienced the charm of Chinese culture and spent an unforgettable Spring Festival.
In the past two days, Yanqing Winter Olympic Village has reached its peak. On the morning of January 31, 14 people from 6 delegations from the Philippines, Timor-Leste, Monaco, Chile, Madagascar and France entered the village and stayed in the village; in the afternoon, 92 people from 14 delegations, including Latvia, Greece, Slovenia and Italy, entered the village. At present, the number of residents in the village has reached nearly 800.

At the entrance and exit of the athletes' restaurant, the catering team placed ice piers and snow melting landscape statues in advance. Chinese knots, small lanterns, etc. are hung in prominent positions in the restaurant, and window flowers and paper cuts of Chinese New Year flavor are also posted on the dining table, and on the wall are pictures of Chinese New Year culture walls, snowflakes, etc.
What do the athletes eat on the day of the Chinese New Year's Eve? "Chinese New Year's Eve naturally inseparable from dumplings, and there are also Peking roast ducks loved by foreign friends." According to the relevant person in charge of the catering field in Yanqing Village, in terms of dishes, the restaurant provides dumplings with different fillings, roast duck, as well as traditional snacks with Chinese characteristics such as donkey rolling and Ai Wo Wo to meet the taste needs of athletes from different countries.
Red lanterns, window flowers and paper cuts, and the village's comprehensive clinic is also decorated with simple Spring Festival decorations. "During the Spring Festival, the clinic will provide a basic outpatient clinic and 24/7 emergency medical services." Li Zongzong, head of the internal medicine team of Yanqing Village Comprehensive Clinic, revealed that after the staff arrived at the station at 11:00 p.m., the team would use video connection to conduct an online party with colleagues who were still on duty at the comprehensive clinic, and everyone would "eat a simple Chinese New Year's Eve meal together", watch the Spring Festival Gala, and wait for the bell to ring at midnight.
Early in the morning, the staff of the media center also began to get busy, everyone put up a festive "ice pier" poster at the door, and decorated the table in the reporter's workshop with simple tulips, and the whole environment looked simple and warm. Chinese and foreign volunteers sang the song of the Beijing Winter Olympic Volunteers "Burning Snowflakes" in 12 languages, drumming flowers, anonymously exchanging postcards, the scene was warm and lively.
In the media center, volunteers write and paste blessing characters to welcome the arrival of the Spring Festival and the Winter Olympics. At 6 o'clock in the evening, Yanqing Winter Olympic Village will also usher in the "Volunteer Tiger Year Spring Festival Gala", volunteers will bring singing, traditional music, ballet performances and other programs.
