Dalian, China's first "Global 500" city awarded by the United Nations as an environmental "Global 500", is located on the Liaodong Peninsula, bordering the Yellow Sea to the east and the Bohai Sea to the west. The coastline is endless, the length of the city's coastline is more than 2,000 kilometers, after thousands of years of wind and waves, forming a unique and even rare sea erosion landscape in China, the sea and reef, which is the totem of Dalian.
General Stone
The General Stone can be said to be the first choice for enjoying the dusk sea view in Dalian.
Locals refer to the promontory diving into the water as "Tsui" or "Tsui", such as "West Lake Tsui", "Fomen Temple Tsui", "Polo Tsuizi", "Dog Chew", etc.; among them, Lushun West Lake Tsui, which is more than 40 kilometers away from Dalian City, is the most widely known, because there are two famous boulders standing on the seashore, like the general guarding the land, and everyone calls it "General Stone".

In the south, yan's nest ridge park in the Yellow Sea is only a few kilometers away from the city; when you arrive, walk two or three kilometers along the park's tree-lined paths; and you can reach the sea through a steep staircase. There are two strangely shaped giant reefs, one resembling a crown and the other resembling a scepter. Around the winter solstice every year, the sunrise sun is closest to the reef and is the best time to watch the sunrise here.

"The old iron mountain head into the sea is deep, and the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea are divided from here", and the connection between the old iron mountain in Lushun and the Hengshan Mountain in Penglaitian, Shandong, constitutes the dividing line between the Yellow Bohai Sea. In the sea here, the rough waves just happen to meet the strange rocks, hitting the unique melody of the magnificent sea.

It is located in Jinzhou District, Dalian City, at the southern end of the Liaodong Peninsula, the famous Natural Stone Geological Landscape Park. The coastline in the park alone is 30 kilometers long, and most of the strange stones in the park were formed in the Aurora and Cambrian periods hundreds of millions of years ago, and the "natural geological museum" is truly deserved. A wooden boardwalk is built along the coast of the park, along which visitors can enjoy the precious "history books" written in stone by nature.

The most amazing thing in Dalian's seascape is the fluorescent sea, which some people call "blue tears", and the probability of appearing in May is the highest. Fluorescent seas are rare marine algae bioluminescent phenomena that convert their own chemical energy into light energy release. The world is found only in a few parts of the world, such as Puerto Rico, Maldives, and Australia. When these organisms gather to emit light on a large scale, a large-area fluorescent sea spectacle is formed.

A few days ago, dalian, the "pearl of the north", once again lit up with a "mysterious light", and a fluorescent sea appeared in Dalian Crab Bay in July. This phenomenon occurs mostly in May in Dalian; it occurs in July, which is relatively rare. The phenomenon of "fluorescent seas" is mostly due to the bioluminescence function of Noctiluca scintillans. In recent years, more and more people have come to Dalian to see the "fluorescent sea".
In Dalian after the summer, fluorescent seas appear in lushun small black stones, large black stones, and wafangdian paishi and other seas. The picture shows the fluorescent sea near the big black stone.
There are two boulders on the seashore in Lushun Little Black Rock Village, which look like a couple kissing, so everyone also calls it "kissing stone". Many couples have taken photos under the kissing stones and made their love vows. I had been on guard for several nights before I photographed the fluorescent sea below in the same frame as the kissing stone—

Dalian is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and the surrounding sea area is far away from the light pollution of the city, which is the best choice for viewing the fluorescent sea. As night fell, the calm bay suddenly flashed a dreamy blue fluorescence, like a blue galaxy falling to the earth.

There is no law at the time and place of the occurrence of fluorescent seas, and there have been almost no large-scale fluorescent seas in Dalian seas in 2019; in 2020, the fluorescent seas appeared only two nights in Wafangdian Paishi, and only a very few people witnessed them.

Located in the central and western part of the Liaodong Peninsula and 104 kilometers south of Dalian City, Wafangdian is an important economic zone connecting Shenyang and Dalian. The stone wall of Camel Mountain near Paishi is a typical sedimentary rock sea erosion landform, about 20 meters high and about 1000 meters long.

This is a rarely visited coast, about 20 kilometers from the Pai Rocks, perfect for watching the sunset. Unlike the rocky camel mountain stone walls, this reef penetrates deep into the sea, and the side layers are clearly defined, showing a mysterious dark red color.
On the path to the shores of The Dog's Mouth, there is also a towering lighthouse that emits a faint light every night to guide the fishing boats at sea.
Every winter, around January, Dalian has the lowest temperature, at this time some of the sea water will freeze, the entire offshore is crystal clear ice, forming a sea ice wonder.
