A "Liquidation Map" shows the peasant turning himself into the master

Surrounded in the picture are the landlord and mr. bookkeeper, and the poor people who have turned themselves into masters are face to face to "settle accounts" with the old wealth of the landlords who once exploited and oppressed them. It was in 1947 that the Liberated Areas carried out extensive land reform, relying on the poor peasants and uniting the middle peasants, eliminating the feudal exploitation system step by step and in a differentiated manner, and developing agricultural production.

It was in Shulu County (present-day Xinji, Shijiazhuang) that the author of this painting participated in the land reform struggle and left a deep impression on him, so he created this classic work. On the picture, the landlord and mr. bookkeeper are crowded under the steps, the peasants around them form a siege, and the peasants who gush out of the steps form a strong pressure on the landlords, and the vivid brushstrokes and vivid images are vividly painted, reproducing the real scene of the land reform allowing the poor peasants to turn themselves into masters.
