As we all know, since the outbreak of the epidemic, because the frequency of international competitions has been greatly reduced, this has led to two results in the update of the world rankings:
First, the points data has not changed much, and many people's rankings have not changed for two years;
Second, the update is unreasonable, the number of competitions is originally small, and it is easy for participants to shake off athletes who have not participated.
The most typical example is Brazil's Calderano - because he is almost invincible in the Americas, he not only participated in the Olympic Games and the World Table Tennis Championships, but also won consecutive championships in various competitions in the Americas, so the points are more and more, and now he has ranked in the top three in the world, and his actual level and performance are far from reaching this level.
However, over time, the old points will inevitably die out, and January 30 this year has become a key node, so the ranking of this issue has changed dramatically compared with the previous issue.
In the women's singles, Chen Meng, who has been at the top of the list for more than two years, finally retreated to the second seat, sun Yingsha became the new world ranking king with the advantage of more than 405 points, and the next athletes ranked 3rd to 10th were: Ito Mimako, Wang Manyu, Wang Yidi, Hayata Hina, Du Kaixuan, Ishikawa Yoshinori, Feng Tianwei, Tian Zhixi.
Among them, Hayata Hina also ranked 16th in the world in the previous issue, but this time it has become 6th, and the improvement is very large.
