Shepherd Tulip

Starring: Christopher Plummer / Lynn Redgrave / Isabella Rossellini / Peter Gerety / Brian Murray
Reasons for recommendation
"Shepherd Tulip" is an adaptation of a novel by British writer Ikeley, which tells the story of his life in his later years with the bittersweet entanglement of the new sheepdog. Dogs are sometimes neurotic, sometimes dog sex is revealed, between people and dogs, a bit like lovers, and a bit like father and daughter, meticulous and warm. Dog Tulip finally took a step first, but let the owner write a book to commemorate, both guys can be named in history, and do not live up to the same happiness and hardships of more than ten years.
The plot of the whole movie is very interesting, but the picture is beautiful and simple, paperless, but retains a strong hand-drawn style, and the quirky and boring sense of humor permeates the film, making it not too sad, and most importantly, it touches the strings of our hearts. In this crowded and lonely world, all we need is love, and we can find it wherever we are.
Synopsis
A widower over fifty years old, adopted a puppy tulip that is not suitable for domestication, the free and loose old man has no binding force on the dog, tulip has a unique personality, embarrassment and helplessness is not enough. After being taunted several times by the veterinarian, he finally met an experienced veterinarian lady, also for the first time, because tulip's scolded her. The old lady said, give me the dog. He handed over the rope, and the old lady led it into the examination room. A moment later she came out, and he was strangely quiet compared to the dog. She said: It doesn't matter, your dog has a good personality, she loves you like this, so when you are there, always want to guard you very strongly, that's all.
In the end, the widower is never married, and the relationship with tulips is actually a bit like a lover, and a bit like a father and daughter. Because she is like a lover, she spoils tulips and indulges them, because like a father and daughter, she hopes that tulips will find her in-laws as soon as possible, and the arranged marriage is busy.
Widower Aikley's spirit dried up a bit, and in Ekley's view, the 15 years that Tulip lived with it became the happiest time in Ekley's life. In Ekley's 50s, Tulip entered Ikeli's life, and Tulip completely changed Ikeli's life. Tulips gave Ackley something he had never had in his life, eternal loyalty, incorruptible dedication, which was the nature of the dog tulip.
In the end, Tulip lived to be sixteen and a half years old, and Ikeli calmly confronted this fact. The two of them embraced each other for warmth, Ikeli received love from Tulip that she never received from her family, and Tulip lived her life in peace. Tulips are Akley's "ideal friend", and Ikeli is also the sole owner of tulips in his life.
