On January 28, Championship side West Brom officially announced the signing of 33-year-old Liverpool veteran Andy Carroll.
Carroll terminated his contract with Reading and joined West Brom on a free transfer. Carroll is from the Newcastle youth system and has played for Liverpool, West Ham united and other teams. In the first half of the season, Carroll made eight Appearances for Reading in the Championship, six of them starting, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist.
