Her end was very tragic, she was betrayed by the Qing government, caught alive by foreigners, toured Europe, and could not be buried after death, and was made into specimens. She is the founder of Red Light Illumination - Lin Hei'er.
The Boxer Rebellion gradually arose, and anti-foreigners became a slogan
The Boxer Rebellion can be traced back to the establishment of the Qing court, and its predecessor was the White Lotus Sect, an anti-Qing and Ming non-governmental organization. Because the White Lotus Sect wanted to escape the suppression of the Qing court, its pseudonyms were many, such as Bagua Sect and Zaili Sect. In the late Qing Dynasty, when Western powers invaded and ethnic contradictions deepened, the goal of the White Lotus Sect gradually changed from being anti-Qing to being anti-foreigner.
The anti-foreigner behavior of the people is mainly embodied in the church, especially after the Sino-Japanese War, the great powers set off a frenzy of division and care, the conflict between foreigners and mainlanders became increasingly fierce, foreigners ran amok in the townships, took over lawsuits, forcibly seized private property, coupled with the incompetence of the government, so that the contradictions between ordinary people and foreigners reached the point of triggering.
Zhao Sanduo
In 1897, in liyuantun, an enclave in Guanxian County, Shandong, foreign missionaries wanted to seize the temple of the village to build a church, and there was a conflict with the villagers, and the foreigners ran amok and colluded with the government, so the villagers had to invite the plum boxer Zhao Sanduo to help. Zhao Sanduo was afraid of being arrested afterwards, so he left his hometown and gradually raised the banner of "supporting the Qing Dynasty and destroying the yangs" to raise up the Boxer Rebellion.
His actions and slogans were soon gained, and the support of many people who hated foreigners erupted together with anti-foreigner organizations, either explicitly or implicitly, and joined the movement.
The court's attitude toward the Boxers was wavering, allowing the Boxers to develop to the point of "spreading everywhere in less than Three Months" in a short period of time, spreading rapidly from Shandong to Tianjin and Zhili, and the Gyeonggi region.
One of the reasons why the Boxers were able to grow so quickly was the sheer number of people involved, both men and women, young and old. One of the detachments is very special, it is a red light led by Lin Hei'er.
Lin Hei'er, born in a boat family along the South Canal in Tianjin, can be said that Lin Hei'er was born poor. In order to live, she followed her father and other elders to the north and south since she was a child, selling art for a living. Therefore, she has learned boxing from her father since she was a child, can fight and kick kung fu, and also knows a little about medicine and can see doctors and heal injuries.
While walking the rivers and lakes, Lin Hei'er's father and daughter also had to have some contact with foreigners. His father died at the hands of foreigners, but the specific reasons are different. Some said that he was killed because he refused to cooperate with the foreigners and used them as a guide to explore the route; some said that he was arrested and imprisoned because he offended the foreigners, and eventually died tragically in prison; some said that he was seriously injured by the foreigners and died. But in any case, it is all related to foreigners. The revenge of killing the father is not the same as the heavens, this is the first vendetta between Lin Hei'er and the foreigners.
After the death of his father, Lin Hei'er has been following her husband Li Youyin, and although the two have a difficult life, they love each other, rely on each other, and can live a life. But the good times did not last long, and her husband accidentally provoked the foreigner to be beaten to death. This was Lin Hei'er's second feud with the foreigners. The two dearest people around me died after the foreign devils, and if ordinary people could not bear this blow, they would either be overwhelmed or gone with their relatives.
But Lin Hei'er is different, although she is from a lowly background, she has seen a lot. At this time, it was just in time for the Boxer Rebellion to eliminate the foreigners, and the whole north was in chaos. Lin Hei'er saw the opportunity to take revenge, and she decided to join the Boxers, using the power of the Boxers to oppose the foreigners, avenge her father and husband, and at the same time extinguish the arrogance of the foreigners and promote the prestige of our nation.
The Boxer Rebellion, on the other hand, was accompanied by progress and superstition. Its progress lies in its opposition to the aggressors, safeguarding the interests of the Chinese nation, and cracking down on the attempts of the great powers to divide China, so that China has not become a colony of Western colonizers. Its backwardness, without seeing the true face of the Manchu Qing government, was exploited by the Qing court and eventually destroyed by it.

At the same time, Lin Hei'er mixed the medical techniques into the spells, quietly put the medicine when doing the work, and then healed the patient, and finally manifested the mana of the Virgin. Following the Virgin, the body is getting healthier and healthier, and the people must have believed in it.
When Lin Hei'er was promoting, he shouted "Red light, the world laughs." Kill the foreigners first, then destroy the foreign religion! Lin Hei'er's inflammatory propaganda and her own mana performance made her fame more and more famous, and the red light also developed, reaching more than 3,000 people, and its members were all women.
To enhance their mystery, each member of the Red Light illumination is dressed in red pants, wearing a red scarf and holding a red lantern. The organization imitated the man, calling the leader "Master Sister" and "Second Master Sister"... Usually, Lin Hei'er publicized to the members who joined that as long as they practiced hard for seven days and forty-nine days, they could learn divine skills, so that the swords and guns could not enter, the cornices would go to the wall, and even a fan in their hands would fail.
Lin Hei'er himself is becoming more and more powerful in people's word of mouth, able to ride the clouds and ride the fog, save lives and help the injured, and specialize in foreigners. This was simply a Guanyin Bodhisattva with boundless magic to the people who were bullied by foreign invaders at that time.
In the Great War of Tianjin Concession, he was defeated and unfortunately arrested
In 1900, the Boxer Rebellion was getting bigger and bigger, and had already entered the capital. At this time, Empress Dowager Cixi, the ruler of the Qing government, also began to favor the diehards and decided to use the Boxers to retaliate against the foreigners to vent their private anger.
What happened to make Empress Dowager Cixi so angry?
In 1898, Empress Dowager Cixi intended to depose the Guangxu Emperor, but this move was not supported by Western countries, and the Boxer Rebellion was seriously dangerous to the interests of foreigners in China, so the Western countries repeatedly warned Empress Dowager Cixi to take measures to suppress it.
The foreigners' arrogant behavior toward Empress Dowager Cixi intensified Empress Dowager Cixi's dissatisfaction with Western countries, and the diehards around her said: "We can use the power of the common people to deal with the incitement of foreigners." ”

In the face of the invasion of the great powers, Empress Dowager Cixi issued a decision that shocked the world after holding two imperial councils. On June 21, 1900, in the name of the Guangxu Emperor, the Qing government declared war on 11 countries, including Britain, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, and so on, which can be said to be a declaration of war on all the powerful countries in the world at that time.

In the face of the Qing government's declaration of war, the Eight-Power Alliance intensified its attack on China. One of the important battlefields was the Zizhulin Concession in Tianjin, which was the base camp of the foreigners, and before Empress Dowager Cixi declared war, the Zizhulin War had already begun, which was a battle in which the officers and soldiers of the Qing government and the Boxers worked together.
Zhang Decheng and Lin Hei'er, representatives of the Boxers in Tianjin, led members to participate in this battle, and the battle in Zizhulin was fierce. Due to the inferior tactics and weapons and equipment of the foreigners, coupled with feudal superstitions, the Boxers and the Qing army suffered heavy losses. The golden bell cover and the iron cloth shirt are still invincible to foreign guns and cannons, and they have really become live targets on the battlefield.
In the battle, the red light under the leadership of Lin Hei'er was mainly responsible for logistical support and the work of healing the wounded, but at the critical moment, they also rushed to the battlefield. Lin Hei'er heroically sacrificed herself to fight against foreign invaders, and her deeds can be sung and wept. Lin Hei'er is also one of the many national heroes who emerged when the Chinese nation was ravaged by foreign invaders, and perhaps her behavior contained feudal superstitions, but her deeds of resisting foreign invaders are worth commemorating.
