A few years ago, I had the privilege of going to Northern Europe. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my plans to travel abroad have been disrupted. I had planned to hike to Western Europe once and israel once after I retired. Now it seems that the global epidemic has eased. Memories of going to Northern Europe were a pleasant trip. Our group took a flight from Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport, which took about eleven hours in the air, and arrived at Frankfurt Airport in Germany.
It was then transferred from the airport and took a European flight to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. On this flight, our group were all European foreigners. Sit in the middle of blue-eyed, yellow-haired Europeans. I had a distinct sense that a small group of European passengers habitually held a book in a foreign language and read it quietly.
As a result, the flights were quiet, unlike the young and beautiful flight attendants in our country, most of the flight attendants in Europe were middle-aged women, but they were very polite to take care of the machine. I also took a book out of my own purse, slowly browsed it, and unknowingly flew to Copenhagen.
Copenhagen is the oldest kingdom of Northern Europe, with a long history and fascinating natural scenery, as well as ancient civilizations and beautiful cultural landscapes. There is the aftertaste of the Viking Age showing off the colors, and there is also the romantic reverie of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales.
Spent two days in Copenhagen, the "merchant's port" copenhagen, located on Zealand, Denmark's largest island. A group of us toured the Castle of Cologne, where the story of Hamlet takes place; the symbol of Copenhagen, the mermaid sculpture by the sea; and the Amalienborg Palace. The University of Copenhagen, built in 1479, and the sleek-shaped Royal Library, known as black diamonds, especially the elegant seven-colored buildings along the river, made me deeply appreciate the ingenious fusion of modernity and tradition, culture and technology.

Denmark and Malmö, Sweden, are across the sea. The weather was clear that day, and in the early morning, a group of us took a business van and drove towards Malmö, even if it was the danish border.
There are no borders and no visas required along the way. Just enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way to Malmö.
Mountains and seas are connected by scattered wooden houses, fences and farms; slow-paced crowds dressed in typical Nordic style; garages with cars, RVs and agricultural machinery vehicles parked next to the garage; flocks of black and white cows under the fir pine, rows of geese passing through the white clouds, and green lawns.
It is said that Danish yogurt-making technology, Swedish fir wood, green lawns and other resources are exported to the world and supplied to the world.
This makes the short trip even more memorable.
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is a city built on about fourteen islands. The islands are connected by a bridge, making it one of the most prosperous cities in Europe.
Against the backdrop of the natural wonders of the Northern Lights, the Swedish capital looks like a floating city. Towering bridges and German-style church towers, cathedrals and town halls bathed in golden sunlight. Against the backdrop of the clear blue sky, the various boats and yachts moored in the urban marina form a unique landscape of Stockholm.
Our group drove through the neighborhood, overlooking the main buildings in the city center, including the Royal Palace, the Parliament, and the Town Hall a little further away. It is interesting that our group was visiting the palace, and happened to meet the empress in a huge convoy of open carriages, and the escort convoy, the escort knights were huge, and the drums and horns played had a symbolic significance.
Visiting the Old Town is a punch card for a trip to Stockholm, built on three islands in the 13th century. The Old Town has a royal palace, as well as other classic buildings in the medieval style. In the middle of the old town is the square, which in the Middle Ages was the place where the trade fair was held. The town hall, built around 1923, is to the right the famous Blue House, where the Nobel Prize banquet and ball are held every Year on December 10, and I feel as if I heard the music of the ball.
Stockholm's West District is the official residence of the current royal family and the first ancient monument in Sweden to be inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List of Humanity.

After visiting Stockholm, our group took a cruise ship from Stockholm Port to Helsinki Port in Finland.
Life on a cruise is colorful, but also civilized and elegant.
The top floor has a swimming pool like seawater, passengers can swim freely, or lie on wooden chairs to rest, drink mineral water, etc.; the two floors are first, second and third class guest rooms, the first and second class are windows, you can watch the changes of the sea; the third floor is a super large cafeteria, full of main and side food, vegetarian dishes, fruit salad, nuts, red and white wine, etc., dining can be selected, enjoy; the fourth floor is a business negotiation hall, bars, coffee houses, etc.; the fifth floor is a ballroom dance floor, there are country music bars, etc.
In short, cruise ships are the world's travelers, different countries, different languages and different skin colors, and the lights are red and green.
Coming to Helsinki, the overall feeling is that this is the typical Arctic country of Northern Europe. The people have a lot of personality, and often swim in winter and take saunas. Heavily influenced by Germany, the exterior of the building is mostly Orange of German imitation, adjacent to Russia. Finland is small, with a population of five and a half million, but Finland is large enough to be the best in the world in terms of education and icebreaker technology.
On that day, leisurely came to the central square of Helsinki, which has a unique charm in the center.
On one side is the towering cathedral, where people are flowing with the holy water and Sanskrit sound of religion; on the other side is the majestic town hall, which has both official places and services for receiving excursions; on the other side is the trading and commercial area, where people buy and sell freely and equally; on the other side is the famous University of Helsinki, only a large building building, with teachers and students walking around on each floor.
It is difficult to think that a building carries the world's top ten universities, in addition to teaching, administration, other school activities, including academic research and service guarantees provided by the society.
Higher education in Finland is recognized as the best education in the world. I have also been to several well-known universities in the United States, and I have interacted with the university authorities, and they have paid attention to and learned from Finland's successful experience.
The reason why Finnish education has a commendable reference, my personal impression is that the reform of Finnish education is clear, and the concept and value of its education are like the mainland's poverty alleviation, an equal spirit that cannot be less.
Another important point is to strive to improve the learning ability of people who are retarded. Moreover, Finnish education has never been ranked or gifted, and they have their own considerations. For students who learn fast, guide self-study; for students who are slow to learn, strengthen assistance and help. Finnish teachers are down-to-earth and affectionate, never publicly praising a student for their homework, but only exchanging privately to add some advanced books.
It is not difficult to see from this that the Finnish educational reform can be deepened thanks to a group of high-quality professional teachers.
Finland has a strong atmosphere of respect for teachers and is also one of the countries with the strictest teaching standards in the world.
In addition, on the coast of Helsinki, there are many modern and large-scale shipbuilding industries, especially icebreaker manufacturing.
The trip to Northern Europe ended after completing the tax refund procedures at Helsinki Airport.
But the Nordic cultural scenery along the way, especially the Finnish educational experience, the influence and enlightenment of our group are still fresh in our memory. Many times, I think about the future, action is more honest than concept, education will be more global, Europe and the United States and mainland education go hand in hand, is bound to affect and lead the world.
