On July 28, the medical treatment team of the Jiangsu Provincial Leading Group for the Prevention and Control of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic issued an emergency notice, requiring the health commissions of districted cities and provincial medical institutions to further strengthen the nucleic acid testing of medical institutions.

The notice requires that new hospitalized patients and escorts must carry out nucleic acid testing for the new crown virus before admission, and only after the test result is negative can they be admitted to the hospital. After admission, it is checked once a day for the first 3 days and 3 times a week thereafter.

From the date of notification (28th), inpatients who have been hospitalized, medical staff of medical institutions and all staff members will undergo nucleic acid testing once a day for the first 3 days, and check three times a week thereafter.

The Paper learned from the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission and relevant people from provincial medical institutions that the above nucleic acid testing requirements are for inpatient patients, and outpatients do not need nucleic acid testing.
