According to Reuters, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau said Canada would expand its military training mission in Ukraine and provide Ukraine with non-lethal equipment such as body armor to help the country gather intelligence and respond to cyberattacks.
Ukraine already has 200 Canadian military personnel, more than 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained by Canada, and Canada will also send additional trainers, possibly to 400.
Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand will travel to Ukraine in the coming days to review Canadian-trained Ukrainian troops.
