The black man, Damian Cameron's mother, said police had repeatedly electrocuted Cameron at home on the day he was arrested and knelt on his back for more than 15 minutes, and Cameron had complained of not being able to breathe.
Police said they received a report of a burglary and went to Cameron's home in Braxton, Mississippi. Cameron's mother, Monica, said Cameron had clashed with police officers who repeatedly electrocuted him. Monica said the deputy sheriff who arrested Cameron knelt on Cameron's back for "15 to 20 minutes." Monica said: "My son's left face is swollen, his left eye is protruding, and his back is under a lot of pressure. ”
Another police officer arrived at the scene and pressed his knee against Cameron's neck and handcuffed him. Monica said Cameron had been complaining about not being able to breathe, and when police took him out of the room, he fainted next to a police car. Police first took Cameron to Simpson General Hospital in Simpson County and then transferred him to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
