Britain is considering adding troops to Eastern Europe

The Daily Telegraph quoted British government sources on its front page as saying that the British government was considering excluding hundreds of military personnel from Eastern Europe before Russia invaded Ukraine and strengthening NATO forces stationed there to counter Russia's military threat. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg also said yesterday that NATO is prepared for the worst.

The Guardian said on its front page that the United States had asked Britain and other NATO members to send more troops to Eastern Europe. The report quoted British Defense Ministry sources as saying that the United States wants to strengthen NATO's forces on the eastern front, which includes from the Baltic states to Romania and Bulgaria in the south.
