Kunming, 26 Jan (China News Service) -- On 26 January, this reporter learned from the Yunnan Provincial Development and Reform Commission that major progress has been made in the construction of the Dabao section of the Yunnan Da (Li) Rui (Li) Railway, an important component of the China-Myanmar International Corridor, and that the JQ170 bridge erector has steadily installed the last piece of the T girder of the Shunpu River Crossing Bridge on the bridge platform, marking the completion of the entire line of the Dabao section of the Darui Railway that has been fighting for 14 years.

The Darui Railway is one of the projects to improve the layout of the road network and develop new lines in the western region in China's "Medium- and Long-term Railway Network Planning", and is also an important part of the China-Myanmar International Corridor, one of the entry and exit routes in southwest China.

The Dabao section of the Darui Railway is located in the western region of Yunnan, from Dali City in the east, to the west through Yangpi and Yongping Cities and Counties, across the Yangpi River, Shunpi River, Yinjiang River, Lancang River, and west to Baoshan City, with a total length of 133.66 kilometers, of which 11.51 kilometers are bridges, 103.68 kilometers are tunnels, and the bridge-tunnel ratio is 86.5%. The geological structure along the railway line is extremely complex, the construction difficulty is rare at home and abroad, and the construction has lasted 14 years. (End)
