Looking at the new main building of the new center on the south side of Yuxin Road, Yang Xiufang, a resident of Shihudang Town, used three "very" words to express her feelings, "I am now old, and what I need most is that the hospital is close and convenient to see a doctor." Yang Xiufang lives in the Tianrun Xinyuan community, because it is far from the Songjiang urban area, and usually has a little problem to go to the town community health service center. "However, the community health service center is relatively small in scale and the medical environment is average." Yang Xiufang said frankly.
It is understood that the existing community health service center in Shihudang Town is located on Shihu New Road and has a sub-center in Litahui. The total construction area of the two places is only more than 5300 square meters, and there are only 4 general clinics. Not only that, these buildings have been built for about 30 years, and the functional facilities can no longer meet the needs of residents for higher quality medical and health services. Take the inpatient building, for example, most of the people living in it are elderly, but the four-story inpatient building has no elevator and does not have the conditions for adding ladders, and there is no bathroom in the ward. The space in the outpatient building is also very cramped, and even the lobby is equipped with waiting seats. In addition, there are only 40 parking spaces in the courtyard.
Shihudang Town has a permanent population of 50,000, and such medical and health service conditions obviously cannot meet the needs of residents. To this end, Shihudang Town actively responds to the demands of people's livelihood and takes the construction of a modern community hospital as a practical project. "The project is built in accordance with the standards of the national community hospital, and will cover basic medical care, public health, community rehabilitation, elderly care, hospice care and other functions in the future." In terms of department setting, on the basis of the original general department, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology and other departments will be opened, and the construction of traditional Chinese medicine, stomatology, rehabilitation and other departments will be further strengthened to meet the basic medical service needs of community residents. Wang Lianqing, director of the Community Health Service Center of Shihudang Town, said. It is worth mentioning that in response to the needs of an aging society, the number of beds in the central geriatric ward will increase from the current 130 to 150.
