International online special article: According to the British "Daily Mail" reported on April 25, the world's first drone waiter café recently opened in the Netherlands Eindhoven University of Technology, where the waiters are mini drones.

The drone café opened as part of a celebration of the 60th anniversary of Eindhoven University of Technology, where 20 students spent nine months developing and building the drone Blue Jay. "Blue Jay" is like a small white flying saucer, with glowing "eyes" that can fly over tables and chairs to pick up and drop off customer orders.

Project leader Tessie Hartjes said the eyes of the Blue Jay drone can scan and load customer orders, and after the order is completed, another drone delivers drinks and drinks to customers. The students said that "Blue Jay" could also complete tasks of delivering drugs or helping track down thieves, and predicted that it would be used in a wide range of future purposes, even as a fire extinguisher, siren, mini servant and so on. Each Blue Jay drone costs about 2,000 euros (about 15,000 yuan), and the project is funded by Eindhoven University of Technology.

With sensors and long-lasting batteries, the Blue Jay drone can fly inside buildings and crowded indoors, unlike other drones that rely on GPS systems. Students see "Blue Jay" as an intelligent bird living in a complex social environment. Hartjes said: "As a useful tool, drones have endless potential. We think of it as the next generation of phones that you can program to your liking. (Willow)
