Synopsis
In response to the intensifying greenhouse effect, countries around the world launched a refrigerant code-named CW-7 in 2014, which who knows pushed the earth into an abyss of extreme cold that could not be recovered. Most humans died of cold and panic, and only a few thousand boarded the Wilford Industrial Development Train and became never-ending wanderers.
With the help of a perpetual motion engine developed by Wilford (Ed Harris) and equipped with a variety of full facilities, the train built its own independent ecosystem over the next seventeen years, spinning over and over a 438,000-kilometer journey. The people at the bottom of the car have been oppressed, and in the struggle for freedom and power, they have launched many riots in the past, but no doubt all of them have failed.
This time, curtis (Chris Evans), a leader, tries to find the imprisoned security designer Nam Min-so (Song Kang-ho) and uses his hand to open the door to the first carriage and overthrow Wilford's rule. At the beginning of the new year, a bloody revolution is underway...
The film is based on the French comic strip Le Transperceneige.
