On June 19, local time, Milkha Singh, a well-known Indian track and field athlete, died of complications of new crown pneumonia at the age of 91. On the 19th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a tribute to Singh on social media.

According to the BBC reported on the 19th, Singh developed complications after being infected with the new crown virus in May, and died of aggravation after receiving treatment for more than a month. Singer's wife also died of COVID-19 on June 13 at the age of 85.
