Lijidian: Revenue will exceed NT$80 billion in 2022

According to Jiwei Network, Taiwan's wafer foundry Lijidian's revenue in 2021 reached NT$65.622 billion, a record high. The company's chairman Huang Chongren said at the legal briefing today (25) that the annual revenue target will exceed NT$80 billion.

According to the Taiwan media "Economic Daily" reported, Huang Chongren and talked about the production capacity, he pointed out that although the current production capacity is not as serious as before, but it is still tight, 70-80% of the production capacity of Liji Electric has been signed by customers to book, and the remaining 20% retains production flexibility.

In addition, Lijidian revealed its capital expenditure plan for this year, targeting about $1.5 billion, mainly investment in the Causeway factory, of which 97% is used for 12-inch factories and 3% for 8-inch factories.

It is reported that LCC operates three 12-inch fabs and two 8-inch fabs in the north of Taiwan, and is building a new 12-inch fab with an estimated monthly production capacity of 100,000 pieces, and the new fab will start production in stages from 2023 with chips using mature nodes and professional processes. Key customers include suppliers of display driver ICs, CMOS image sensors, power management chips and other power devices, as well as professional DRAM memories.
