The first time I saw Northern Europe was in the 2003 film Nói albinói (icebergs heading for tropical islands). It's hard to imagine anyone resisting that idyllic little town life. Seeing the seventeen-year-old soul who was frostbitten by emptiness, always immersed in his own world, ordinary and unpredictable.

《Speaking albinói》,2003
25 years ago, a band called Sigur Rós was born in this land. "Listening to the Wind" is a documentary by the band, which records the band's return to their hometown after the national tour to hold a series of free performances, the picture does not have much language, but monotonously tells the lawn, children, the elderly, the town and the invisible, whistling wind. When there is no music, the resonance roar of nature is the only sound here, it is the most simple music in the hearts of local sensitive musicians, this kind of music seems to make life calm and simple.
I used to love the piano sound of Ágætis Byrjun, which had a feathery texture, and in the rehearsal room it was an agile vibration catcher, and no one seemed to be able to replicate the quiet that this band had created, and of course their innate sense of avoidance.
Route One, one of my most recent albums, was recorded in 2016 and is based on the full audio of the band's 24-hour "Slow TV" live event around Iceland's National Highway 1. The eight pieces of music on the album record eight segments of the march, and the names of the tracks are all Icelandic coordinates. The track title for the 5th track is 64º46'34.1" N 14º02'55.8"W, and its sound comes from the trans-bay highway in The Bay of Brezdas in eastern Iceland; the 8th track comes from the northwestern city of Brendios near the airport, and overall, it's a very easy-to-listen album, and the vibrating guitar sound seems to have a healing power.
In 2014, three members of the band made cameo appearances in Game of Thrones, playing the "back shake" singer at the wedding of Joffrey Baratheon and Margary Tyrell, and it was clear that Joe the Great did not like the song "The Rainy Season of Casterme", let alone the back shake.
Sigur Rós in Reykjavik, the capital of the highest latitude and a city of ice and fire, when night falls, standing on the edge of the harbor, it seems that a soul as powerful as the sea breeze can be felt.
