Meta released a new artificial intelligence supercomputer that serves the metacosm, or will become the world's fastest

According to the Wall Street Journal on January 25, Facebook's parent company Meta Platforms Inc said on Monday that its research team has built a new artificial intelligence supercomputer that is expected to soon become the world's fastest artificial intelligence supercomputer.

The supercomputer, called AI Research SuperCluster (RSC for short), is the result of nearly two years of work and is led by Facebook's parent company's Artificial Intelligence and Infrastructure team, with partners including NVIDIA, Penguin Computing Inc. and Pure Storage Inc.

Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, said, "The experiences we build for the metaverse require tremendous computing power, and RSC will enable new AI models to learn from trillions of examples, understand hundreds of languages, and more."
