Disney's first Alien Universe TV series, in partnership with FX/Hulu, was announced at the end of last year, and the show is currently being directed and filmed by Noah Hawley ("Swarm" and "Ice Storm").

In this week's Vanity Fair interview, Hawley revealed more details about the show.
Hawley: "For me right now, it's from riddle Scott, James Cameron and David Finch's awesome Alien movies that take this IP to produce the Alien TV series for FX. The alien movies they made were both great monster movies and not just monster movies. They are also films that explore the situation between humanity's trapped primitive parasitic past and the future of artificial intelligence. The humans in the film cannot move forward and cannot return. So I think these movies are very interesting. ”
In an interview, Hawley affirmed Alan Ripley's place in the Alien film: "She's one of the greatest characters of all time, and I think Ripley's story has been told perfectly, so I don't want to mess with these masterpieces. Alien's movie stories always start from being trapped in a prison or in a spaceship, and I think it would be more interesting to expand the scene a little more, so that the audience can't predict where the plot will go next. ”
Holly also noted in the interview: "In a way, it's also a story about inequality. In this TV series, you can see people who have to do dirty work. So you'll see what happens when inequality isn't well addressed. "There seems to be a hint here to weyland-Yutani employees.
