Chen Boxing, male, born in May 1973, member of the Communist Party of China; Shi Xunqiong, female, born in January 1979, the two are husband and wife, both are village doctors in Dazhai Village, Pingxi Town, Huangping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province.
Due to its remote location and lack of medical treatment, some villagers were unable to seek medical treatment in time after falling ill. Chen Boxing and Shi Xunqiong returned to the village to visit their relatives, saw that the villagers were worried because there was no professional medical personnel to see a doctor, and after consultation, they unanimously decided to give up their stable jobs and return to Dazhai Village to become the "health housekeepers" of the villagers. Since then, they have been wearing a white coat and a medical kit, visiting villagers to see a doctor, entering households to do major disease surveys, registering and following up chronic diseases, examining the health of the elderly and minors, establishing medical files, and publicizing health knowledge. For 30 years, the couple has traveled to every corner of Dazhai Village, doing their best to serve the villagers.
