At 6:40 p.m. on June 30, after the baptism of light rain, the sky over the water city was blue, and on the roof of the 32nd floor of the 4 buildings in a certain community in the water city, several photography enthusiasts set up a tripod and used their "long guns and short cannons" to capture the beautiful sunset scenery of the water city. Among these photographers, there is Yuan Fangyu, the former propaganda officer of Sichuan Boiler Factory, whose home is in this building, and whenever there is a good scenery in the city, he can always take a step ahead of others.
Yuan Fangyu, who was born in Yingshan County, Nanchong City, was assigned to the production department of Sichuan Boiler Factory after graduating from Chengdu First Mechanical Industry School in 1982 with a mechanical manufacturing major, and because of his photography expertise, he was transferred to the Propaganda Department of the enterprise in 1985 to engage in propaganda and video work, until he retired from the factory in 2015.
Since settling in Jintang in 1982, Yuan Fangyu has deeply integrated into this water and soil and become an "authentic" Jintang person. In addition to his work, he focuses his photographic literary and artistic creations on the masses around him and the local humanities and scenic spots of Jintang. In 1991 and 1998, he published in the People's Daily the work "Desperate to Take Risks" reflecting the traffic situation in Jintang and the work "Digging Sand in the North River" reflecting the condition of the flood control embankment, which aroused strong repercussions and received attention from the government.
After retiring from the factory, Yuan Fangyu's footprints appeared all over Jintang, and he could always be seen busy at various festivals and large competitions, and he was often seen in the Longquan Mountains, Genting Mountain, Huatian Guangxing, and Sanxi Rape Flower Festival. During this period, the protagonists under his lens were mostly characters.
This year, Yuan Fangyu stayed in an elevator residence in a residential area of Shuicheng, unexpectedly here, he found a new creative world, the building where he lived can overlook the Longquan Mountains and most of the urban area of Shuicheng to the east, to the south can overlook the beautiful Pihewan No. 1 route, and the west is an open area, in recent years, this direction often appears in the "push the window to see the snow mountain" spectacle. Watching the sunrise and sunset in the morning and evening, the sunset of the morning sun, and the night view of the laser fountain, Yuan Fangyu suddenly found that his balcony was an observation deck. After that, as long as it is observed that the next day may be sunny, at 5 o'clock in the morning, Yuan Fangyu will get up early, first look at his balcony, and climb to the top of the 32nd floor to capture the fleeting scenery with full creative enthusiasm. At the same time, he will also open his mobile phone, share this small pride in the circle of friends, and invite film friends to create city scenery blockbusters together. In the county environmental protection photo contest unveiled on June 5 this year, Yuan Fangyu won the second prize for a painting of "Morning Exercise", which is his 6 o'clock in the morning opposite the river outside the community, with the citizens of morning exercise as the protagonist, with the morning light, ferris wheel, and urban buildings as the background, the quiet and beautiful beauty of The Water City and the Water City people jumped on the paper.
"Jintang's natural conditions are very good, with a long history, unique culture, mountains and rivers, rich resources, and the source of my creation is the source of my creation. Whenever I see the sunrise and the morning fog, I feel as if I live in the palace of the gods, and it is actually a very enjoyable thing to take all this beauty into my camera. Yuan Fangyu said.
