8 years ago today: Anthony Madison Garden blasted 62 points to set a Knicks all-time scoring record

Eight years ago today (January 24, 2014), the New York Knicks hosted the Charlotte Bobcats at home at Madison Garden. Cameron Anthony, who was still playing for the Knicks at the time, played 38 minutes and 39 seconds, shooting 23 of 35, 6 of 11 three-pointers, 10 of 10 free throws, 62 points and 13 rebounds, and helped the Knicks win 125-96 over the Bobcats.

Anthony's 62 points set a single-game scoring record in Knicks history and was also the highest scoring record for Madison Gardens.

In a post-match interview, Anthony said about how it felt to cut 62 points: "There are very few people who can taste that [scoring] realm, and tonight I am one of them. ”
