Bogota, July 15 (Xinhua) -- The Colombian government said on July 15 that relevant departments have begun to track down three Colombian citizens suspected of participating in the assassination of Haitian President Moiz and launch an investigation into them.

Colombian National Police Chief Vargas said at a press conference on the same day that Colombia has now confirmed the direct involvement of 21 Colombian citizens in the assassination operation, of which 18 were arrested by the Haitian police and 3 died in the process of arrest.

Vargas said three other Colombian citizens were suspected of involvement in the assassination of Moiz. On the basis of information provided by the Haitian side, the Colombian side is verifying their connection to the assassination and has identified one of them as being involved in the planning and organization of the incident, which was aimed at "apprehending" Moiz.
