On January 22, 2022, the "Stars of Tomorrow" draft camp of Guangdong Hongyuan Basketball Club officially came to an end. Nearly 30 young players fully demonstrated their outstanding basketball skills among players of the same age group in this event, and also allowed the coaching staff of the youth team to discover some potential seedlings.
This activity, organized by Guangdong Hongyuan Basketball Club, with the main purpose of examining the basketball level of players of appropriate age and selecting materials for the Hongyuan youth team, attracted nearly 800 players from all provinces across the country to register. In the end, after the selection of the coaching staff, 28 players of different ages were selected to participate in the camp, of which the youngest player was only in the fourth grade, and the oldest had just entered the high school life.
In this draft camp activity, the coaching team of Guangdong Hongyuan Youth Team personally trained and guided the players who entered the camp. Not only did the players experience a more professional basketball youth training system, but also allowed the players to get the opportunity to fully show themselves. During these three days, the coaching team arranged a complete pre-training warm-up, basketball basic skills training, physical fitness test and confrontation competition for the players, and conducted a detailed inspection of each player and recorded it in the talent reserve file.
The most interesting thing during the draft camp is the confrontation match prepared by the coaching staff for the players entering the camp and the current Hongyuan three teams. Even in the face of the professionally trained Hongyuan third team, the draft camp team did not have the slightest fear and slackness in the game, whether it was a junior player of the primary school age or a young player of the middle and high school age groups, they dared to fully show their basketball level in the game.
This event was very fruitful for Guangdong Hongyuan Basketball Club and saw a group of outstanding players of the right age. The coaching staff of Guangdong Hongyuan Youth Team will continue to maintain close contact with the players who have entered the camp and continue to follow up on the development of the players. Next, Guangdong Hongyuan Basketball Club will also hold similar draft camp activities on a regular basis to provide opportunities for young players of appropriate age across the country and contribute to the development of China's youth basketball cause.
