These are the words we often hear at the traffic light intersections in Midu County recently. A group of volunteers dressed in red, wearing red hats, whistles around their necks, and persuasion certificates took to the streets to persuade uncivilized traffic behavior.
Since the establishment of the provincial civilized city in our county was launched, the majority of volunteers have actively participated in it. In particular, since August 13 this year, our county has launched a volunteer service month with the theme of "Small River Flowing Water and Happy Midu", and one of them is to persuade uncivilized traffic behavior. Every day, nearly 200 volunteers take to the streets to carry out 10 hours of uncivilized traffic behavior persuasion at 13 traffic light intersections and small garden intersections in the county in the morning, middle and evening.
Volunteers need to "look at the six roads", assist the traffic police and urban management on duty, persuade pedestrians to cross the road indiscriminately, run red lights randomly, park vehicles randomly and other uncivilized traffic behaviors, and advocate pedestrians to take zebra crossings, do not run red lights, and standardize parking.
Luo Faguo, a veteran in his late 80s, lives in the Peony Community and walks to Lantern Square every day. The elderly praised the traffic persuasion activities: "In the past, I still saw people running red lights from time to time, but now it is obviously much less." ”

There are four volunteers and a traffic policeman at each traffic light, and the volunteers often stand for 4 hours at a time, while the traffic police are all day. Volunteer Li Xiumei has just finished her morning task, and her face is full of small achievements: "I stood for 4 hours this morning, although I was very tired, I felt very happy and honored, because I was able to contribute a small part to the creation of a provincial civilized city in Midu." ”
