The day before the curtain was drawn, we had already obtained the new product information of the Athens brand in advance, and this time Athens will be the first to launch three new products, including a Blast single question, a Diver X Skeleton and a UFO grandfather clock.

In the traditional chime table, the hammer is usually used to strike the spring coiled around and connected to the movement, emitting a pleasant musical tone to announce the time. When the sound waves are transmitted to the middle of the chime mechanism, a part of it is absorbed, which weakens the intensity of the music and the resonance is not crisp enough because it cannot fully penetrate the case material.
In order to create the new Blast single question chime watch, the Tennis watch engineering team boldly challenged two major watchmaking difficulties: first, the mystery of the chime mechanism was revealed on the dial; second, it presented a more beautiful sound quality, which meant that the energy transmission efficiency was improved. For this reason, Nardin engineers and watchmakers worked together to develop the UN-621 calibre. This is the first self-winding timing movement independently developed by Yer Nardin. To ensure precise operation, the movement is equipped with a flying tourbillon with a variable inertia balance wheel, a silicon spring and an anchor escapement.
After turning on the chime function, every hour and half hour, you can enjoy the beautiful rhythm of mechanical ballet while also listening to a melodious chime. Even if the chime mechanism is activated occasionally, you can get a glimpse of the delicate beauty of the mechanical operation. This mechanism can be activated by pressing the button at 10 o'clock. Driven by an exclusive barrel, the hour rack and inertia regulator are in motion, and the springs are rhythmically tapped through the hammers clearly visible in the 12 o'clock window. Specially designed reeds that subtly avoid the flying tourbillon frame when vibrating.
Finally, in order to ensure that the Blast monochrome chime watch has a melodious chime sound, the movement has specially added a titanium film, which was jointly developed by Nardin watch and the famous French audio brand Tivari.
The 45mm diameter of this watch, with its 5N rose gold case and adorned with black DLC-coated titanium, offers a view of the UN-621 movement through the modern dial, which presents the iconic "X" element of Nardin. The 30-meter waterproof performance can cope with general life scenarios. There are three styles of velvet, rubber and crocodile leather straps to choose from.
UFO clocks of Nardin watches
In cooperation with the prestigious Swiss clock manufacturer L'Epée, Nardin Nardin has launched a UFO grandfather clock. Since 1839, L'Epée has been committed to creating traditional professional high-end clocks, in recent years in collaboration with the Swiss independent watchmaker brand.
This UFO grandfather clock is housed in an olded wooden treasure chest with a user guide, a warranty card and a square steel winding key placed separately in a special storage layer. This key rotates 40 times to provide a 1-year power reserve. Each dial has a dedicated winding hole, which can also be used to adjust the time. Therefore, the grandfather clock has a total of 4 winding holes, 1 for the grandfather clock, and the remaining 3 for the corresponding time zone, all sharing a winding key.
The new UFO grandfather clock has 663 parts, six oversized barrels, a power reserve of up to 1 year, and a giant brass balance wheel with a diameter of up to 49 mm. The grandfather clock displays three time zones of time in three different directions on a trapezoidal dial. Due to the extremely complex structure of the dial, only 8 of the parts can be made every 28 hours. The giant brass balance wheel vibrates slowly at a frequency of 0.5 Hz, not only achieving a rare ultra-long power reserve of up to 1 year, but also allowing people to enjoy the leisurely vibration of 2 times per second. The grandfather clock also adds a jumping second device. The housing of this grandfather clock is made of aluminium, blown glass, height: 263 mm, diameter: 159 mm, weight of 7.2 KG, limited to 75 units.
Diver's DIVER X skeleton watch
In this watch, the 44mm case is coated with a blue PVD coating and the bezel is made of blue carbonium®, an innovative material originally used in the Fantasy series FREAK X. It's an ultra-light aerospace grade material and one of the most robust and durable materials scientists have ever invented, giving each watch a unique sense of texture.
The hour markers on the dial, the inner lines of the iconic "X" of Nardin, are subtly connected to the dial in a discreet way. It is also decorated with rich decorative polishing details, and the UN-372 self-winding calibre can be seen through the skeleton dial. Details such as protective rubber around the crown are rendered in vibrant orange.
The new Diver X skeleton watch is powered by an ocean blue or vibrant orange rubber strap embellished with the orange Narconian anchor logo. 200 meters waterproof performance, limited to 175 pieces.
